Art Theft
- Perhaps the best way to track John Smythe is by checking in with the people responsible for dealing with art theft. Interpol’s has a list of “most wanted”. They also offer a CD-ROM that provides the names of stolen artworks so if you are an art buyer, you can check to make sure you’re not purchasing a “hot” work of art. 🙂
- On Barbara’s recommendation, you might want to visit the International Foundation for Art Research, which publishes a journal dealing with forged and stolen art.

Book Connections
